Although many of our trials are sponsored by pharmaceutical companies, Canterbury Urology Research Trust relies on your generosity to allow us to do our own research here in Christchurch.

Because we are a charitable trust, all donations are tax deductible up to the level of your income.

A gift to CURT is a legacy that lasts beyond one’s lifetime, and helps to further the field of Urology. Your support will allow us to continue to do more life changing research.

Leaving a gift in your will will help us fund future research work in Aotearoa. There are four main types of gifts you can choose to leave to a charity.

• Residual: The remainder of your estate after considering your loved ones.
• Percentage or fractional: A gift expressed as a percentage or fraction of your estate.
• Pecuniary or specific: A specified gift which can be money, property or stocks and shares.
• Whole estate: This comprises your entire estate and is usually left by those without beneficiaries or those wanting to achieve something very significant.



You should talk to a lawyer about the type of gift that will best suit you and your estate. Your legacy donation can be publicised or remain anonymous should you so wish.

You can make a donation directly through internet banking or a bank to our NZ bank account. Please ensure you get in contact with us so we know where to send the tax receipt to.
